On 15, 16 and 17 October, the Cradle to Cradle Products Innovation Institute trained organizations from Belgium, Switzerland, Spain, Turkey, Brazil, the Netherlands and the UK to become the latest accredited assessment bodies authorized to analyze and assess products on Cradle to Cradle Certified quality.
Held at the institute’s European training centre in Venlo, the Netherlands, accrediting these organizations will mark a tripling of the total number of accredited engineering companies worldwide.
EMG was invited to provide a presentation and workshop on how to maximize the business opportunity of Cradle to Cradle certification. The session began with a general presentation on strategy and positioning, concluded by a Q&A session. During the 1-hour workshop that followed, participants were challenged to take a more holistic view on Cradle to Cradle Certified product quality, and identify relevant benefits for different stakeholders.
Bridgett Luther, President of the Cradle to Cradle Products Innovation Institute: “We recognize the fact that effective positioning and communications is essential to realizing the full commercial potential of Cradle to Cradle certification, and EMG is a great partner for us to help companies achieve this.”
Albin Kälin, CEO of EPEA Switzerland, together with members of his team, participated in the training: “It’s one thing having a great product, but quite another knowing how to pitch that product in a competitive market. EMG did a great job in activating participants to focus on exactly that in a practical and inspiring way.”
EMG’s next engagement with the Cradle to Cradle Products Innovation Institute will be during the ‘Innovation Celebration’ in New York on 14 and 15 November. Together with Michael Braungart and William McDonough, industry leaders from all over the world will come together to share their thoughts and celebrate years of innovation by some of the world’s largest companies. The mayor of New York city, Michael Bloomberg and Wendy and Eric Schmidt are honorary chairs.
